Very interesting and I’ll be interested in seeing the rest of them.
The only thing that sounds strange to me is “resurrection fashion”. I know our bodies will be renewed but I guess I never thought about the clothes.

Jeff, I guess I’m too idiomatic on this one. Not clothes at all, but the new life we live now is in “resurrection fashion.”
And I have a serious question for tc and anyone else:
Is worldly referring to temporal or sinful i.e. of the flesh?
R.C. Lucas in his introductory level commentary on Colossians says, “…No, read superficially in this way [temporal things are to have none of our attention], verse 2 would be a recipe for pseudo-spirituality of a kind that harms the cause of Christ.
The ‘things on earth’ (Gk. epi tes ges) receive another mention in verse 5 as what is earthly (Gk. epi tes ges) in you. Therefore these earthly things must certainly include the sins that are to be mortified. And the first step in such mortification, as every Christian knows, is not to set the mind upon them.”
But is he taking this too far? There is Matthew 6:33 but also Proverbs 21:20, 30:25 etc.

Jeff, I see them as both. “Things of the earth” are both temporal and sinful as is seen in v. 5. Within the larger context, stemming from chapter two, we have to agree with Lucas.
