And right now I’m chatting with Nathan Stitt via Gmail Chat.
So we have our blogs, facebook accounts, twitters, myspace, and so on.
All this networking is killing me.
It seems like I don’t have time or interest in doing some quality reflections in some blog posts. I’ve got a Twitter mind-set these days.
I don’t think I like it very much. I need to get back to some serious and heavy reflecting. My brain carries around tweets these days.

Tweety Bird
Maybe I should call myself Tweety Bird.

I did that syncing of FB with Twitter BUT that makes for some odd FB entries I think.
I haven’t been keeping up with anything very well lately I’m afraid.
Know how you feel, TC. My wife commented the other day that I was “twittering away” all my study time. Definitely need to cut back on those digital distractions.
@TC
Oops. I logged in with the wrong user name. This is Ronald. And this is my personal blog account. =)
You can erase that other one up top.

The answer: I don’t. I rarely check facebook anymore. I got rid of my MySpace a long time ago. I blog irregularly. I think I’m going to sync my twitter with my facebook so that my tweets will serve as my facebook updates. (Of course doing that might be super annoying to facebook users.)
I only blog and lately I don’t even do much of that. Don’t have any of the other social networking tools. The internet is too addicting and it rarely pays back what you put into it.

My FB and twitter are sync’d. I get emails from FB whenever something important happens, like someone comments on something. I use twitter in a standalone client (tweetdeck) so it’s closer to using an IM like gtalk or aim. I use blogging to balance out my “tweet” mindset of thinking in bytes.
You can consolidate all of these things in a social networking site like friendfeed or the like. This gives you the ability to keep up to date with them all in one place, so it’s just like your checking one site instead of 4. I don’t use any of these yet, since my system works for me, but I’m thinking of checking one out soon as my twitter feed gets larger.
I just ignore all of those except when I feel like getting on them. Everyone manages.
Surprisingly, people don’t unsubscribe from you/delete you/etc. when you aren’t active and they’re all waiting when you come back. Or so it seems.
Bitsy, it’s hard to keep up.
Doug, listen to your wife. She knows you.
Bryan L, yeah. I know what you mean.
Bryan, that’s a good idea. If I had to limit to two, they would be my blog and twitter account. I’m not big on FB.
Jake, sometimes.
It can also eat into your time with God and pastoral vocation if you are not careful…
I have FB and Blog – that’s it though. One I can try writing and things, the other get prayer support and stay connected with friends I care about.
I avoid Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, and all other such forms of virutal communication like the plague. Blogging is as good as it gets for me.
Sheesh. I can hardly keep up with my blogs and facebook, I think twitter would push me over the edge.
Brian, that’s scary true.
Nick, I won’t blame you. I’m planning on dropping something. Don’t know which one yet.
PeterM, twitter is simple, man! You can handle it.
I’m with Nick. I’m so sick of hearing about Twitter. I suppose it would be valuable in following someone who is writing while they’re at an important event or something but I’m spending too much time online the way it is.

Jeff, Piper is twittering.
Hey, Bitsy!
Jeff, Piper is twittering.
Yeah I read that. I wonder if he’s having an assistant type things in for him.
Jeff
Jeff, you could be right.
Ronald, I never really had a myspace account. I use to send my tweets to facebook – not anymore.
It’s tough!
