While working through Eugene Merrill’s Everlasting Dominion: A Theology of the Old Testament and his many references to Biblical Hebrew, my dormant interest in getting a firm grip on Biblical Hebrew has been reawakening:

I’ve pulled down My Basics of Biblical Hebrew by Pratico and Van Pelt. And I’ve found myself tracking down every transliteration in A Student’s Vocabulary for Biblical Hebrew and Aramaic by Larry A. Mitchel to the actual Hebrew forms (My BDB is just too big).
I’m like a kid with a new toy…

Hey TC, shouldn’t that be Eugene Merrill? Or have I been saying it wrong all these years?
My friend, you’re correct. I was my usual confusing self.
I guess it’s not a matter of how he brews it, just that he brews it!
learning Hebrew is fun huh?
Tell us more about the book TC. Sounds interesting.
Brian, I just got your first line. Nice!
Yeah, the theology is solid. A fun read.
